Frequently asked
What is a fractional CFO?
A fractional CFO is an experienced finance executive who works with your company part-time — for example, one day per week — or for a specific project. You get senior-level leadership and judgment at a fraction of the cost of a full-time hire.
Is my company too small?
Not necessarily. Blue Oak works with owner-led businesses as well as nine-figure companies. Smaller clients often start with a diagnostic or monthly accounting and close, and add strategic support as they grow.
Do you replace my bookkeeper or accounting team?
Usually we work alongside them — providing oversight, review, process improvements and the strategic layer on top. Where it makes sense, we can also help you hire or restructure the team.
Can you help with a bank loan or investor raise?
Yes. Preparing lender-ready packages, negotiating terms and supporting lender and investor conversations is one of the most common reasons clients call.
Do you work with companies outside California?
Yes. Most work is done remotely, with on-site visits when they add value.
Do you provide audits or attest services?
No. Blue Oak Advisory is a financial advisory firm and does not perform audits, reviews or compilations. We help you prepare for an audit and work closely with your independent auditors.
